Worst internet shopping experience ever
12/24/07 (reviewed by: Alan from Utah)
Horrible. The flower arrangement I ordered was not delivered when it was supposed to be, did not come in the vase advertised, and was the smallest most pathetic bouquet I have ever seen Customer service doesn't care. NEVER order from this company!

I ordered flowers for my mom for mothers day they emailed me 8:30 pm sat night (day before mothers day) that i couldn't get the flowers and they offered no discount even though i had to pay extra except 20% off my next purchase. HORRIBLE SERVICE!! its fine if they wouldn't still advertise or if they would have given me a better notice but at last minute?! thats horrible!!
Customer Satisfaction not Guaranteed
05/08/07 (reviewed by: Craig from Chicago)
Through an email mailing, they advertised free Mother's Day shipping for delivery on 5/6-8. The promo code would not work for an online order. I called-in the order and the order taker said the promo code would be accepted, after talking to her manager. I even had her confirm the amount, which did not have shipping charges. *I later received an invoice with shipping charges. When I called-in, the customer service rep admitted they had a lot of issues with the electronic mailing, but could not do anything. I asked for a manager. He said he could not reverse the shipping charges either. I asked him to reverse the shipping charges or I would have no other alternative but to dispute the charge amount. After that, he said he could not talk anymore. Additionally, their people have issues with spelling and grammar.
Flowers didn't arrive for funeral service...
04/26/07 (reviewed by: Melissa from Illinois)
I was unable to attend my grandfather's funeral in another state. His death was sudden, he was only 69 years old. The whole family was torn apart and everyone else in the immediate family was able to attend the service. So my husband decided to send a beautiful bouquet to the funeral home. He ordered from 1800 flowers online, received an order confirmation that the flowers would be delivered the day of the service. A couple of days later, my mother called me and said she never saw any flowers from us. Then my grandma called with the same news. I immediately called 1800 flowers' customer service number to find out what happened. They answered promptly and were somewhat courteous. I was placed on hold for 10 minutes while they searched for the order. I was then told that the florist was unable to fill the order and emailed 1800 flowers to let them know. They did not even attempt to notify me, even though they had both our phone numbers and email addresses. The lady apologized insincerely and asked if she could attempt to redeliver the flowers. I told her that it was too late, they were for a funeral service and my grandfather had already been buried. She wanted to send them to my grandma's house, but that would have made the situation even worse and upset my grandma deeply. I will never ever order from this company again! This was a very difficult time and they only made it worse! BEWARE!!! They said they would issue the credit back to my credit card, but I won't know for sure for at least a few days. THIS COMPANY IS HORRIBLE AT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ORGANIZATION! Spend your money somewhere else.
So sorry I didn't now how bad 800flowers is!

I sent a plant to my assistant. Didn't get there. Customer Service doesn't know what to say and puts the blame on the local florist. Obviously no refund of the delivery fee and who knows if the plant is ever going to show up.

I ordered Valentine's gifts a week before Valentine's Day. I got a call today (Valentine's day) at 1:05 p.m. from someone at 800 Flowers saying that my flowers could not be delivered. The reason? Two cities (Montreal, QC and Santa Rosa, CA) are "out of flowers." When I asked what could be done, indicating that the flowers were going to loved ones who I had expected to receive gifts, I was told NOTHING. They and I were simply out of luck. When I asked when the gifts could be delivered, I was told they could not be delivered for a week, and that the entire system was out of flowers. I will never buy from 800 Flowers again, and recommend that no one shops with them. They have always been on the fringe of quality (poor quality, spindly flowers), but this is beyond the bounds. One of the gifts was for my 74-year old mother, and the other was for a dear loved one in the freezing cold of Montreal. If I had known a few days ago I could have made other arrangements. BTW, I was not offered ANYTHING by 800 Flowers. Terri Reece

Ordered flowers for my parents 45 th anniversary. They did not arrive on the day, in fact after many calls to 1-800- flowers, they finally arrived 8 days late. The arrangemnt was wilted and horrible. My father called the loacal florist who did replace it with a lovely arrangment. It was a whole lot of effort for the giver and the receiver.
Wrong item, late delivery, wrong refund
12/28/06 (reviewed by: minckster from New York City)
Ordered a "large" arrangement. It was delivered a day late and was smaller than the "small" size. When I called to complain, I was offered a refund of the delivery charge and the difference in the price between the two items. The actually refund was a lot smaller. When I called back to complain, I was hung-up on after 20 minutes on hold, transferred around for an hour, and had to fight for a still-too-small refund.
2 Orders in 2 months-Both Wrong!!
05/19/06 (reviewed by: Jamie from Clifton Park)
I ordered flowers for my new baby neice. I specifically ordered a pink porcelain piggy bank with flowers only to find out the flowers were delivered in a cheap baby boot! And I ordered a Crabtree & Evelyn gift set that was supposed to be delivered in a white wooden fence box-only to find out it was delivered in a cheap vinyl bag! What's up with this company?? If they display a certain product on the internet, then that is what they should deliver!! False advertisement if you ask me!!!
Never again
05/11/06 (reviewed by: Anonymous from Miami, Florida)
Husband ordered V-Day flowers. Expensive roses with chocolate and a card. Delivered the day after V-Day to a neighbor. Cheap glass vase, loser roses and no candy or card. Husband could not get through to complain. Finally got through and they tried to give it to him for 1/2 price. Got the charge deleted, then the "florist" came back three days later to pick them up. I told them to pick them up wherever they delivered them
Delivery Problems
03/29/06 (reviewed by: Anonymous from Anonymous Location)
We ordered flowers for my mother inlaws birthday and they arrived 2 days early, why bother offering a delivery date request if you arent going to deliver on the right day. I called customer service they had no explination other than the florist must have seen the order and delivered them. They offered to go back and pick them up and re-deliver on the correct day. Who would want to get flowers then have the florist show back up and say oops??? They said they would give me a discount on my next order but there is no way I will ever use this company again.

I ordered flowers for my wife on Valentines day through 1-800 flowers.com, it was actually 1-800 flowers that delivered the flowers, not a different florist. (I didnt know that they had actual flower chops) They were delivered to her job early in the morning. They lasted 9 days!!! Can you believe that!!!? I was very impressed and will be ordering from them for a long time
sad choice for funeral flowers
03/09/06 (reviewed by: Anonymous from Anonymous Location)
I ordered a lovely large bouquet to have at Grandma's funeral, 3 of the grandchildren pitched in for a LARGE display of flowers. I asked them to have them by the day of the viewing....no show...ok, I said, then have them for the funeral...no show...couldn't reach any help by phone or email...so, ok, they'll be there for the burial at least.....NO SHOW!!! The grandchildren had nothing to show the great love and respect for a wonderful woman! Then when finally spoke to someone they said, "sorry, computer problems, the florist didn't get the order"....then they offered to send them to "the family of the deceased".....hellooooooo...we ARE the family! Begrudgingly got a refund, but no way to save the sad and embarrassing NO SHOW at the funeral of a very great woman. SOOOOOOOO SAD!

I ordered flowers 4 days early to be sent on V-day. I even paid an extra $15 for guaranteed delivery. 2 days later and still no flowers... and no replies to my emails(phones will not pick up..always busy). Do they actually provide a service?
Some Valentines day!
02/15/06 (reviewed by: Chris Connolly from Connecticut)
Ordered from 1800-flowers for V-day. Flowers NEVER MADE IT!! they were NEVER DELIVERED! When I called customer service (yea right!) all you get is hung up on. When you call the main 1-800flowers number they tell you there is nothing they can do!! NEVER AGAIN!!!
Absolutely unprofessional
02/15/06 (reviewed by: Anonymous from Anonymous Location)
I ordered and was guaranteed flowers delivered on Valentine's Day. I called at 7:30pm and waited on hold that night only to find out they could not deliver on their promise on that date. SO they waited until 7:15pm to send me an email and not even a phone call. I had to rush to a store to buy some flowers quickly before dinner. I asked for a full refund. This company promises the world to get your credit card number and some easy money but they cannot deliver on their promises. Very poor service, unreliable, unprofessional, and dishonest.
1800flowers.com is a total ripoff
02/14/06 (reviewed by: j from chicago)
Well, it's just shy of 5p.m. on the last Valentine's before my fiance and I are to be married... and they failed to deliver her flowers at work like we had arranged. I am SO mad right now, I just know it'll affect me during dinner - if they can't make it happen, then they shouldn't promise it - that would have been fine. I even allowed them the flexibility to deliver it yesterday but no... nothing. Thanks 1800flowers.com for cheapening our last Valentine's Day as an unmarried couple.
VALENTINE'S DAY MESS
02/14/06 (reviewed by: Very Disappointed from Florist in Denver, CO)
I will NEVER order from 1800FLOWERS.COM again. The order placement went well, but the rest was a nightmare. Where to begin.. 1 - Not enough "Gift Advisors" It's Valentine's Day, the biggest flower day in the year, you think they'd know how many phone reps they need by now. They were not prepared at all. Not even close. On one call I was 40 min into the frustrating conversation with the rep and she told me there were 117 people waiting to get through to reps. Hello! 1800flowers.com should be prepared. 2 - VERY LONG hold time, then you get DISCONNECTED! There's nothing worse than waiting for 10-30 minutes listening to the same 2 messages repeated over an over, only to get a rapid busy signal and disconnected! That happened EVERY time I called to check on delivery status though customer service. Sure you can check on your order using the voice activated prompts, but they only tell you the DAY of delivery. I needed to know the delivery time for a recipient who had to check out of a hotel to catch a flight. Apparently, they don't care about time-sensitive cases. As it turned out, they JUST made it literally 6 minutes before the latest time they said they would deliver by. But wait, there's more... 3 - After all that, you'd think it would be worth it when the person got what you ordered. Not a chance! They sent the wrong basket! I don't know if it was meant for someone else, or if the local florist (Denver, CO) was too lazy or backed up to make it the way it was supposed to be. I ordered the FRUIT, CANDY, AND COOKIE BASKET (#2515S). My husband received a basket with candy and a soda! How depressing. I wanted an elegant basket with some healthy options, not a halloween treat. It's as if they went to the cending machines at the last minute and threw it together. How pathetic and degrading. And they charged me $66.97 for that! I could have asked the hotel to whip that up for free! It was more than disappointing. You just can't undo it, or make it better, not from 1500 miles away from the recipient. 4 - The reps are overwhelmed, many are newly trained for the "big day" and don't know enough to make decisions, and they keep repeating the same thing over and over, "I can't help you, I'm going to have to transfer you to customer service" -- this was AFTER I explained in painstaking detail from the moment she answered my call that the transfers to customer service get disconnected 100% of the time and I spend hours trying to get through. They just can't think outside of the box. 5 - 1800FLOWERS.COM does not give out florist information so you cannot call the florist directly. You are completely at the mercy of the 1800flowers.com and all the above crap you have to deal with, incompetency, long hold times, getting disconnected. So in the end, when your order is wrong, you can't even tell the florist about it. Do you think 1800FLOWERS.COM cares? They made their fortune by not taking the time to help customers. Even if I don't ever use their service again, there are plenty of unsuspecting trusting customers influenced by their sappy commercials. 6 - With Google, Yahoo, Yellow Pages online, and all kinds of local town websites, there is NO reason to pay a middle man anymore. If I called a florist directly, I would have complete control over the process, freedom to check in on the order, and could provide them with direct feedback if an order goes wrong. Then they can fix it right there, since they're local and I would tell them immediately. But with 1800FLOWERS.COM, they don't let you get through to check on your order, they certainly would not do any extra work to check on an order that was already paid (the first thing they ask you for is your credit card number! why waste time with a caller who decide it's too expensive and doesn't buy anything). 7 - After all the above I experienced, if you choose to use 1800FLOWERS.COM anyway and something goes wrong with your order, make sure you email them immediately and express your discontent, frustrations, disappointment, or waste of money. You just might get a refund if they really care. Best wishes!

Terrible, terrible company. Supposed to deliver my moms bday flowers on a Tuesday and she still had not gotten them by Wednesday night. Defeats the purpose of sending birthday flowers. I will never use them again--and plan to tell everyone about it.

Thank you flowers for friends were fair to poor. When the deliverer was questioned he gave "attitude" and told these folks "that's what you get when you deal with 1800flowers. Replacement order had mostly carnations and a few other inexpensive ones. I will never, EVER tdo business with 1800flowers again.

I have never had a single problem. All of my flowers have been delivered on time and were some of the most beautiful I have ever seen. I use them year round to send to my friend in North Carolina, or my grandmother in California. I have even called last minute and been able to have something sent to my counsin's funeral. I could not ask for a better florist to have. I know I sound like a spoke person (they should be paying me!!) But they even have gifts, not just flowers. So when my dad is sick, I can still send him something and he loves them too!
Great florist! My florist of choice

I have never had any problems with this company. I have found that it is a bit cheaper to call the actual flower shop directly, instead if the customer service center. They have a 7 day guarantee on their flowers, who can beat that?????

I ordered over $300 with 1800flowers. They deal with companies that send old merchandise and they refuse to accept responsibility to replace it. I will never order from them again. Try FTD.com, they have better service, better merchandise and guarantee satisfaction.

Consistently Poor Service and Late Delivery
12/30/04 (reviewed by: Anonymous from Anonymous Location)
There's a reason why 1800Flowers is rated below average. Put simply, their service is lousy...Late delivery, wrong items delivered and in our case all of the above and dead flowers delivered...Staffed by uncaring reps, this is a company that is to be avoided!
