  | Crazy Policies to Fix Errors
09/08/06 (reviewed by: Laura from Overland Park) |  I ordered a max/min thermometer to be delivered to my local store. Six days after placing the order it was supposedly shipped to the store. But, the store couldn't locate it. I called to have it tracked, and customer service put in a request for that. That was supposed to take a couple of days; then I would receive an Email with the results. No Email arrived. So, I called again, this time spoke with the supervisor. She said that she would mark it urgent. In the end, after I called again, they Emailed head office to see if they could ship me a new one, instead of locate the missing thermometer. When the Email arrived (finally, an Email as promised!) they had canceled my order for me, not fixed the problem. I had not asked for it to be canceled. I had asked them to take the steps to get a new one shipped from the warehouse. I didn't care where the first thermometer was. I cared that I was waiting for over a month to get a thermometer. Now, with my order canceled, I have ordered from a different outfit. |

Their prices are great and the products are shipped extremely fast. They generally have a great selection of appliances at some of the best prices you can find anywhere. The service is second to none. They maintain excellent contact with the buyer through the entire purchase and shipping process. As opposed to many on-line discount stores that advertise low prices and then have no inventory, acehardware.com has an extensive inventory of many great items at great prices. I have shopped several times with them and many other on-line sources, and I continue to be impressed by the excellent shopping experience with acehardware.com. |
