Some are like new, some some blemishes and some could even be not working or broken. MUST read these details first! I have had good shopping experiences with this store. |

Very hard to order items on thier web site and very hard or impossible to order anything by phone especially on weekends, plus they do not have a toll free number. Prices seem very good but will order from somewhere else to avoid the hassle. |
| | | Defective camera return

I returned the camera to Computer Geeks on 10/13/05 via Federal Express. I was informed on 11/02/05 that a replacement camera was not available and that the price of the camera would be refunded (but not the shipping cost). From the time I ordered the camera until I could seek a camera from elsewhere, it cost me about a month's time and the loss of the shipping. When I complained that it should not cost me anything to recieve faulty merchandise, I was told that it was company policy. |

I also got an extra special price with the green light special price.. it was $10 less than the orginal price which was already unbeatable! and my order shipped QUICKLY. Items are great and I would shop computergeeks ANY DAY! Highly recommended. |

I thought I was getting a deal since I purchased the two 50-piece spindles from their website for under 30 dollars (including shipping and handling). However, I did not get a deal. Every single DVD from the two spindles turned out to be coasters. They all errored when I tried to back up my files. I then contacted the Computer Geeks customer support, and a customer support technician told me he'd remedy the situation by sending me one new spindle to test out. I received the spindle promptly, and I didn't test them out until a few weeks later. Those DVD-Rs all errored as well. I contacted Computer Geeks to ask for my money back because I really do not want to invest any more of my time and energy in testing DVD-Rs. They refused to give me back my money stating that my warranty was over. The rude customer support technician did not understand that the spindle I am inquiring about now does not have a warranty; this new spindle is supposed to work to remedy the two bad spindles with warranty. The new spindle does not work, and Computer Geeks should either give me back my money or send me new spindles that do work. The technician then went on and on with excuses to why he cannot return my money. He even asked me what Wal-Mart would do in this predicament. I, in turn, told him that Wal-Mart does not need to dedicate a lot of attention to the individual customer's problems because Wal-Mart is already prosperous and will continue to be because their reputation is already established by their years of experience. So, my point is this: if anyone is considering buying something from Computer Geeks, then I suggest he or she makes sure the item can be trusted to work; because if the item happens to be defective, the customer would have a VERY HARD time getting his or her money back. I hope no one else has to experience the frustration in dealing with Computer Geeks. I am advising everyone I know who shops online to stay away from Computer Geeks! |
