I ordered some golf equipment over 12 days ago and have not recieved it yet. The problem is they say it shipped but they give me a tracking number for the US Postal service that USPS says doesn't exist. Begining to wonder if I'll ever get what I ordered!

I have liked everything I've gotten from them. I had something once that wasn't right (not their fault, I ordered the wrong thing). Although it takes some navigating to find the right phone number and took a while to fix, everyone I spoke to was very nice and eventually they had the item picked up from my house by the return shipper and my money was refunded with no restocking fee.

Luckily, I've never had any problems with O. Ordered area rug at 5pm Wed Mar 7, it arrived around 2pm Friday. Wrapped well, no damage, and very close to the way it looked at Overstock (on my monitor). Also, I forgot to check for coupons before placing the order, but went back to site and spoke with the online chat rep and he credited my account for the $40-off coupon. So, I can't complain, but, I have never returned any items to them. The restocking fee almost kept me from ordering this item at this price, along with the cost of return shipping of a 7x9 area rug. I took a chance that I would like it. One last thing - I am not employed by or affiliated with Overstock in any way, as someone else suggested of the higher ratings.

I've preordered a product from them, only to find out it is out of stock on the day of its release. There is never an email to keep you updated, except an automated confirmation email when you placed your order. The took your money very quickly, too, regardless if it would get shipped or not. I help myself by logging into my account at their site to find out it is in stock the next day. They even jacked up the shipping cost by $1.50. I then talk to their live rep on three occasions, and he or she always gave me the same robotic craps, such as I should wait a few days, blah..blah. A sale associate will contact me regarding my order. They never have done so. I am still waiting for my shipment confirmation and hopefully after the fact I shall never do business with this online merchant again.

I have ordered things from Overstock.com 3 or 4 times each time with great results. In addition to their usual $2.95 shipping for your entire order, they frequently run $1 shipping specials. The last time I ordered was a web cam for my dad for Christmas. I ordered it on December 11 and recieved it 8 days later -- I didn't even get the shipping confirmation until 2 days after it arrived. I've also ordered a variety of teaching supplies and books with good results and fast, affordable shipping.

it's BEST to not send anything through DHL actually... DHL EXPRESS UNEXPECTEDLY POOR service, I couldn't believe it !!! I ordered something from Amazon (Japan) and supposingly it arrived on Tuesday. (I found out later that night that I've actually missed the delivery of the package). Called 1800-CALL-DHL the day after (Wednesday) and asked why I didn't get a call from home or a knock at the door or anything and they told me that Amazon didn't write my Suite/Apt. number down so they couldn't have gotten it to me... but I mean, the person has my name on the package and my name with the call number is clearly written on a board but they told me the delivery person doesn't have time to check or call (not even 1 minute to check? Calling is the only option to entering an apt, checking my name on the board just add another minute or so) Anyways, I ignored that and arranged a time for delivery, paid the fee with a VISA card and the staff told me that it's going to arrive the day after (very sure); okay, waited at home full-day yesterday (Thursday), nobody came no package came, called and asked and the staff told me packages come in 12-24, or 24-48 hours, doesn't matter, NOW somebody told me it's not Thursday, but it could also be Friday, what, is this a joke? So FINE, I waited at home today expecting the package and yet, you know what? Yes, nobody came again and no package came again. I called again at 5 and you know what it is this time? The staff told me they only ship on Mondays... WHAT? Now it's ONLY Monday? So what exactly DHL is telling me is that your time is money and you don't have time to waste on me, a customer, not even a minute; but my time means nothing and you can waste my time in whatever way you feel like. Does my time seem so unimportant to you? I have a lot to do, a lot of places to go to, and I could've been working too. This is ridiculous and the poorest service EVER!!! Can't believe what's become of DHL. AND it was sent with EXPRESS.

I just received part of my first order, and it will be my last. The ipod speakers I purchased were $120, but I could have found better quality for $20 at Target. When I went to the site for information on returning the item, I saw that I would have to pay them $20 to take the product back! I wanted to make sure that I hadn't missed a pop-up or warning message during the ordering process, so I put the same product in my cart and went through the process again. Well, since my credit card is in the system, the order went through without my having to enter any billing info. I immediately used the online chat to try to cancel it, and the rep told me that since the system was automatic, that the order couldn't be cancelled. When I let the rep know that would be unacceptable, the agent was magically able to cancel the order that was impossible to cancel only 15 seconds before.

I've always found great deals on Overstock and have made several furniture purchases, including a bed, rugs, and a couch. These have all arrived in terrific condition, as well as all smaller purchases. Only once have I needed to contact Customer Service, and it was not a hassle whatsoever.

I ordered 8 outdoor cast aluminum chairs, (quality worse than expected, approx 1/2 hr to assemble ea). Received 4 the first week. Waiting, and waiting, finally called, they had no idea if shipped, and where. Needed to search 2-4 days, no responce, called again, same story. After 2 weeks they said we shipped them, due in 1 week. Never got them, because the never shipped them. Again, 2-4 days, bla bla, no answer. finally demanded refound for the never received chairs...and still waiiiiting for refund.

I have shopped at Overstock since its inception and never felt ripped off- until now. I ordered a 'J-Tech Men's G-Sport Watch' about two months ago. I saw the picture and read the description carefully before ordering it: Aluminum case Stainless steel bracelet Satin and polished finishes Digital LCD display Graphic day and second markers Daily alarm EL Backlight 1/100 second stop watch Deployment clasp Japanese lithium battery Water resistant to 30-meters I ordered it and the problems began. It took 3 weeks to reach me (which meant I could not return it). The watch is not only aluminum and stainless steel- it also contains blue plastic around the base of the bottom of the watch connecting it to the band. The function buttons are also blue plastic! But that isn't how the watch is pictured on the site nor described! About 3 weeks later one of the buttons fell out- I have no ideal where. Their customer service rep said 'Sorry- can't refund due to the lateness of your complaint'. She said she would send my concerns over the obvious fraudulent picture and watch description to her boss- but that was it! That watch is still there fraudulently described- just go to the site, copy and paste the name above and you will see it. I doubt if I will ever trust them again.
30% restocking, shipping, "Handling" bs fees

I have, in the past, been a happy Overstock customer; until this last purchase where I have been RIPPED off with total b.s. restocking fees, shipping fees (when I used my own shipping service) and a total lack of customer service, with auto replies that are nonsense and just a total lack of attention to detail. With all the potential savings that $2.95 shipping and discount prices afford, all advantages are immediately LOST if you should ever think about RETURNING an item (due to color, size, or changing your mind). This is where the big O (offender) can VASTLY improve its customer experience. I have yet to receive an accurate tally of what charges are associated with my 2 returns. In one email, the numbers the O provided didn't add up to my credit by $10. How could I be missing $10 off a simple, $80 purchase? None of O's line items capture it: there is a $4.95 per item handling fee (x2 = 9.90), a $5.65 shipping fee, and a ; which is $15.55. That means I should get a credit of $64.45 correct? WRONG - I got a credit of $54.85. Where is the other $9.60? Well, there is also some bogus in store credit which you get in lieu of the actual MONEY THAT YOU PAID; to be used towards new purchases. This is thievery, pure and simple- isn't there a law that businesses have to reimburse/credit you in the manner in which you paid for your item? Therefore I demand a CREDIT, I DEMAND MY MONEY you pieces of crap! So, for the "bargain" I thought I was getting when buying my curtains, I actually got ROYALLY SCREWED b/c when I RETURNED the curtains, I got back a measly 68%. That's about what the government takes from my commission and bonus checks, only this is an entity I can RANT AT FOR ITS THIEVING, LYING, TREACHEROUS WAY OF DOING BUSINESS, TAKING ALMOST 30% FROM A PURCHASE AND CALLING THAT RESTOCKING, HANDLING AND UNUNSED BS SHIPPING FEES

I've shopped there several times and in most instances have had good experiences. Bedding, towels and a jewlery purchase have been fine, good quality and shipped promptly. Our only "bad" experiences were with mens and womens clothing. I bought a suit that had a "list price" of $795. It looked fine on the site, but when I received it, well let me just say....it looked more like a $79.50 Suit. You could see through it , the material was so thin and my wife had an equally bad experience with a blouse and a suit. Just stick with housewares, appliances, bedding and such, and STAY AWAY from clothing.

Still haven't recieved an order I placed over 1 month ago. They did not require signature for shipment and item went missing. They repeatedly say it will ship in a "couple" of days. Never gave me a correct shipping date. So slow they say it will ship on a date that past one week ago. Wish I had read these reviews sooner.

I ordered a bed from Overstock.com on 1/13/06. I thought it would probably arrive in 2-3 weeks. It wasn't even shipped until 1/23/06. It's now 2/10/06 and no bed. I contacted the "live help" today and asked that the bed, which they say was shipped by FedEx, be tracked to see what happened. They refused to help me, saying it may take up to six weeks after shipment to get my bed. THEN if I don't get it, they will issue a refund. They won't let me cancel order. I need the bed NOW. I had no idea shipping would take up to two months after ordering. NO ONE at Overstock is interested in expediting things or helping me track order. I'm extremely frustrated and won't order from them again.

Look at Catalog #: 1012565 Overstock has a great deal... $17.99 Normally retails for $24.99 EXCEPT, $24.99 is bogus. No one charges anything close to that and I've looked all over the web. In fact, the exact same product can be found throughout the web for around $10-$15 (look for yourself). Overstock used to be about getting good deals on OVERSTOCKed merchandise. Now it's about selling normal stock merchandise and hefty margins.

It is rare to have customer service which is so thoroughly bad. Representatives make problems and then make up stores to get you off the phone. When there is no satisfaction given, adding insult to injury they say things like Thank you for contacting us. I can help you with that. We value your business. I will never ever use this nutty organization with people who have to be trained to lie, i n order to get any problem temporarily off their desk. This is one company /website to avoid.

Worst online experience ever. A copy of my last e-mail to O-stock: This is my second e-mail regarding this invoice. I have also called twice and have gotten absolutely no help from a live person. I have asked to speak with a supervisor and was put on hold for 25 minutes with no answer. The LCD television that was part of this order has never been shipped or even shown that it was received by UPS to ship. I was told when I first called last week that they would look into this and e-mail me within a few days. No e-mail yet. I e-mailed yesterday. No return e-mail-despite being promised a return e-mail within 24 hours. I called again tonight and was told that they "need to put a trace on it" and it would be 10 business days before they could get back to me to tell me whether they would even ship it again or issue a refund. I asked why it take 10 days to trace something that has never been shipped and it in fact shows UPS never received it? I was told that she could not answer that. I was then put on hold for 25 more minutes with no further answer. This is unacceptable. I ordered this on Nov. 21st specifically for X-mas and early enough to avoid shipping issues. I need to know within 24 hours whether this will be at my home before the 25th. If not, I want the order canceled and I want to know whether a refund has been issued. I am very dissappointed at the service. I have spent over $5,000 at Overstock in the last 6 months. I guess you all do not need customers like me.

Letter I wrote to Overstock: To Whom It May Concern: Let me express my extreme displeasure with overstock and the individuals within your company that I had contact with. When a company advertises free shipping, I expect every item within their store is consdered for free shipping. My mistake, I did not read your fine print, which excludes books and DVDs. So, as soon as I noticed, overstock charged me for shipping, within minutes of placing the order...I contact your customer service to cancel it. I spoke with a manager named Chris F., who contradicts himself by telling me that he can cancel an order within 2-4 hours of it being placed. But, then proceeds to tell me he can not cancel my order. When I expressed my displeasure, I was placed on hold right in the middle of a sentence. Not only is that rude but it is extremely unprofessional. When Chris, a manager within your company comes back on the phone, I am conveniently told that the order is in processing. I will have to call back on Monday and see if they will cancel the order or not. Which is extremely inconvenient for me. I have shopped with on this site before but after this I will take my business to your competitors. Not only do you have individuals..(well management that I dealt with) within your company that are unprofessional, but if his information is correct and he could not cancel my order. In my opinion, Overstock has a system that is completely inefficient since it does not let management deal with issues in a timely and professional manner. I am completely dissatisfied. I know overstock is a large company that is growing. I also recognize that if I tell individuals not to shop with you, this is not going to really hurt your sales. But as any good business knows a satisfied customer walks away and if your lucky tells one to two people about their experience. Dissatisfied customers will walk away and tell on average 10 people about their experience. Well, I am a dissatisfied customer and I guarantee I will tell at least 10 people if not plenty of more individuals who shop online about my experience with overstock. Which was not a good one.

I have had great experience with fast shipping with very low s/h rates. The web site is easy to navigate, with fast checkout process. Most goods are quality items with accurate, although sometime spotty, descriptions. I have ordered numerous bedding items, books, movies, 1 watch, and 1 small piece of furniture. I have found better deals on books rates at other sites, and recommend researching furniture prices before committing to purchase from Overstock. Returned 1 item with no problem. The restocking fee sucks, but the shipping rates can't be beat!

I ordered a Dyson vacuum cleaner from overstock.com 6 days ago. 6 days later, overstock.com says that they shipped the item the day after I ordered, but UPS says that they don’t have the package in their system. I can't get any info or help from overstock’s customer service. Their price is not worth the pain of their poor customer service. I will not shop at overstock.com again.

I ordered an ink cartridge from Overstock.com. Simple, right? Wrong! They shipped it to Boulder, CO when I had clearly given the my GA address. Then I had to wait 10-14 days before they could trace it, then 10-15 days for them TO trace it, then 10 days to get my refund. I called their 800 #, got cut off after waiting for a customer service person. I tried their on-line live chat, he cut me off before I could answer him after a 25 minute wait. Then, I called their 800# again and was told that they would expedite the process but it would take 2-4 days before I would get an e-mailed response from them. This is unacceptable in the world of automation. They need to get better at this computer ordering thingy. Don't order from them is all I can say.

You may not have any problem if you don't have to make a correction for your order. One time, I placed a order to wrong address, I called customer service FEW MINUTES after I placed the order. I was told to call back again, and they can change the address at the point of UPS. I made several phone calls once a day but they never change the point. I even talk to so-called supevisor at customer service and she was so rude! I wrote a claim letter to overstock, never receive any responce. I have ordered several times but I decided not to use them again.

Long, Long Story. Ordered items over 21 days ago. My credit card was charged over 21 days ago. My items have not shipped and no one in Customer Service can tell me what is going on nor can anyone cancel my order. I have been promised many phone calls from Shipping and from Managers in Customer Service and no one has followed up. The only email I have received from Overstock was a survery asking me if I was happy with my products!!!

Overtocks biggest problem seems to be with their warehouse suppliers. They actually have suppliers directly ship from their inventories, so you are are at the mercy of companies who couldn't move their products in the first place. Some are wonderful, I'm sure - but the bad ones are awful, and Overstock does little to nothing to facilitate the return or credit because frankly, it's not in their best interest. They get their money from these questionable suppliers. I finally had to take it to my credit card company to get it settled. Plus, I found better deals and customer service on Amazon or eBay. Most people I found who love Overstock like the convenience and haven't learned to Google for a better deal.

I placed my order Oct 14th and was charged on my credit card by Monday the 17th.My item never shipped.Each time I called it was one excuse after another, "we don't have tracking information, our system is down or we'll have to email the warehouse and it takes 4 days to receive a response" I waited 4 days and called back and I was told Oct31st was a holiday and their warehouse didn't work so I'd have to call back tomorrow! I asked to speak to a manager and was disconnected!!!!I called back and was initially told I could not cancel my order, I told the rep that my order was placed almost a month ago, so she agreed it should be cancelled. I was told it could take up to 14 days to recieve my credit!Horrible company.I will never buy anything from them again.I would NOT recommed them to anyone!

I have generally had good luck with Overstock for the past couple of years - not always my first choice, but sometimes they have things in stock that even Amazon does not have. My latest experience, however, has completely changed my view of them, and I think their refund / return policies border on fraud. I ordered an expensive 6-CD-set on 09.25.05 that Overstock was listing at about $20.00 cheaper than Amazon.com. The set was released on 09.27.05, and since it was considered a pre-order, my credit card was billed immediately. After a month of waiting, I called them and asked for a refund. I was informed by the customer service agent that she could not issue a refund since it was after the 20-day limit for returns. She placed me on hold and consulted with her supervisor. After returning to the phone, she said that I would not be happy with her (apparently they are experts at disappointing their customers). Her supervisor, as well, could not authorize a refund (no surprise there). I was informed that she would send an email to the department that could issue the refund - and that I would receive an email in a few days (3-4) informing me about my refund. This is the most ridiculous way to run a business that I have ever experienced. These folk will NEVER see another cent of my money. You may have a good experience with them only if you NEVER have a problem with an item - and good luck getting a reasonable resolution to your issue if you do have a problem. And finally, despite the following absurdity, they refuse to give me a refund, despite the fact that they do not (and most likely will not) ever have the item in stock. This is what is on the order page where my item resides: "This title is expected to be released on 01/01/2010. We will ship this item as soon as it is available".

I had purchased some items from overstock before, and was always satisfied with the quality. I have honestly received some good deals. I purchased an mp3 player from them, and it didn't work. I sent them an email, in which I received an auto-response saying I would be contacted in 3 days. A week passed, so I used their live help. Their live help wants your entire life story before they'll help you. I was told I would receive a return label in the mail. Another week passed. This time I tried calling, and nobody was picking up their phone. I called Discover Card and decided to dispute the charges. So if anything comes of this, I'll post it.

I ordered 3 books at one time on sept. 13th my class started on the 26th of sept. today is the 27th and still only recieved 2 of the 3 books the one that is yet to arrive was the most expensive at $105.00, later on, on the evening of the 13th my wife found a mens wedding band she thought I should have for our one year anniversary which was the 20th so she ordered this for me as a nice suprise figuring that it would arrive by then needless to say after a $6oo. shopping splurge my wife and I have recieved $30. worth of books and our first anniversary with only one of us giving a gift. overstock.com is the worst company for they avoid dealing with their customers. In a day of online shopping price competing companies are everywhere and most offer excelent customer service so for the thousands who have been screwed over by this company, "they will not be around for long" thank you for allowing me to vent... i ordered a game pad for my son, got confirmation of order and never heard from them for 2 weeks. checked my order on line to find it was canceled. no email to tell me that. went on thier sight to find if i could actually talk to someone, or email, but could only do live chat, waited 10 minutes to do that, only to hear, yes, it was out of stock so they canceled. no explaination as to why they didnt care enough to email me. they gave me a $5 coupon on my account to apologize for the lame service, but i will not bother giving them another order, there are plenty of other options out there. any site that has hidden all their customer service contacts is usually trouble (that's why they dont want to hear from you!). plus their tv commercial is soooo annoying..."it's all about the...lousy service!"

I ordered 3 books and received only 2. Was charged for 3. It took me 27 min to get hold of someone there. I was not contacted the next day as he has promised. Four days later I tried their E-mail with the same result. It has been almost a month. I will let you know, if I get it. Your guess is as good as mine

I've purchased from them 3 times. First time, very very happy, and shipped here fast, and cheap. 2nd time, ordered a camera, got here DOA, didnt take pictures right, CCD busted, initiazed return, and bought some more dvds which i got fine in the meantime. Ive been e-mailing back and forth for over a month now, and finally called when they told me that that send me a responce WHICH I NEVER got and NEVER went to my Spam folder either, and they said I could return it on the phone finally. So, got RMA# almost 2 weeks ago, e-mailed them Sunday night about the status of my order and if i will get a prepaid package or not, and its Thursday night, NOTHING!!! Skrew them, im going to the manufactorer for warrenty now.

have had excellent experiences with furniture (overstock had the same chairs i saw in a store for 350 dollars for 130 each). delivery is fairly quick. have not had to deal with CS, however.

I will NEVER buy from Overstock.com. We ordered a bed 7 weeks ago. They say on their website that they ship it DHL, but they don't. They sub-contract all their deliveries once they get to the nearest hub by your house so they lose all ownership of the actual delivery part of it. When it finally showed up at my house, Overstock sent no headboard and 2 sets of the bed railing. I have called and talked to many people and always get a different story... Even if I talk to supervisors. They don't have their act together. After 4 weeks of trying to get the shipping problem corrected, I get told today that they will credit my visa and I can keep the 2 sets of bed rails. What am I going to do with 2 sets of bed rails and no headboard???? Oh, and also today, I was told that the product is out of stock and I cannot get the headboard from anywhere else. I just went to another website and I'll have the headboard delivered in 3 weeks. I am telling everyone I know and don't know to NOT BUY FROM OVERSTOCK.COM

It is true that they will not let you cancel an order, even if you call two hours after you place it. This is no way to run a business and they crash and burn sooner rather later. I ordered a router and then discovered it wouldn't work with my system. Tried to cancel order, no such luck. Live and learn, but only buy from these people is you expect NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

Seems to be a theme from this company. I ordered an entertainment center June 1st. A week later I received 3 boxes two were parts from the entertainment center and one was a bed rail (that I did not order). I called immediately and spent at least two hours on the phone trying to get it resolved, being passed on from person to person. It took another 4 days to actually talk to a person in charge (but only after I called the company that sold the furniture to overstock , they called several times to get someone to call me back). I talked with Micah and he said would need to ship out bed piece and they would need to receive it before other piece of entertainment could be shipped out. Fair enough another good week goes by then I received the box.......Guess what "wrong piece again". I try calling again to get ahold of someone and finally after several attempts get Darren. His method to resolve this was for me to repackage all three boxes send them back and then I would receive the entertainment center ok another couple weeks wasted. Then I receive a call and lame cookie cutter email saying "The grid style entertainment center has been a very popular item at a great price, Sorry it didn't work out for you" This was july 11th......no more they are out of stock. Then goes on to say they will credit my credit card (Geee thanks for not charging me for something I NEVER received). A month and a week, several hours on the phone trying to get this resolved, repackaging and waiting on delivery people to pick-up their mistakes. Then they will not let you post a truthful review on their site (they pick the good ones and if you had an issue with them they will not post it). This company s@cks and I will never use it again. Oh and I love the last line on the email......."Please tell your friends and family about the good buys on overstock" give me a break.......I'll be sure to tell friends and family about the nightmare I've dealt with with this company!!!!

Overstock processing unit knowing records your conversation without your consent in violation of Federal and State laws. This Company is a bad apple. It has the worst customer service of any net company I have every dealt with. I was a recent shareholder of this company but because of the reason stated above I have dumped all of my stock. Talked to top magement of Company and they wouldnt address the cancel issue till 4th qtr, and you will only have 4 hrs window to change order. This company does not give a damm about the customer. This company does not deserve your support.

After spending $30.oo for a membership that was supposed to save me money, The site had advertised durring the month of may all orders over 120.00 get $12.00 off at the check out. Well I placed an order and the total was over $120. oo , they took all my information, then at check out the $12.00 was not deducted. I imidiatly call their customer service line to comlain , after over a half hour the woman tells me that since I am a Club O member I cannot use coupons. I explained that the 5% discount with Club O was less then the $12 off advertised and would't it make sense to at least offer the better of the two. Once again the answer was NO, and they will not refund the club O fee or cancel the order that was placed . When asked to speak to a supervisor I was told that they cannot do that , I at check out the $12.00 was not deducted. I saw a garden tree bench with a "list price" of $300 that I bought from abcdistributing for $40! This was the exact bench!! I realize that "list prices" are not generally the actual retail prices, but come on! I could have put benches around a whole woodland path for the list price of one bench!

I ordered two queen size down comforters from Overstock.com. Didn't notice on their return email it said two twin - which of course I received. It's bad enough they put a 30 day limit on returns, but then you have to wait for three emails from - one giving you permission to return, the next giving you a particular return code, and last a return label. I never received the return label despite emailing them again asking them for it. The two emails I did receive were condescending and rude. I will never order form them again, crappiest customer service I have ever encountered.

i bought a king comforter which turned out to be a full/queen - they refused to expedite shipping on the correct one unless i paid either $33.00 or $85.00 extra, depending on who i spoke to. The duvet cover arrived with a torn seam and dirt spots - their response was to blame their sources. They were rude and became agitated, offered me a lousey 10.00 off but i already had a 7.00 credit and a 10.00 coupon (wouldn't let me use them) - then refused to sell me the correct size for the same price i had bought the original!! This is my 2nd experience with them - the first time i got an email to a request to use a 12% coupon, saying "we are GLAD to tell you you cannot use this".!!!! Shame on me for going back for more!!!!

I bought a reconditioned video projector at a fair price but can be met closely at other sites. The manufacturer lists specific accessories which are to be sent with reconditioned equipment. They did not come with the purchased equipment and the refused to send them after I called. It was also extremely difficult to contact their technical support. Took seven phone calls over five days! Would definitely look elsewhere to purchase next time.

Just received an order of two obsolescent BFG video cards that were advertised at a fair price as if they were new stock in normal retail packaging. They are in fact WHITE BOX packaged items with no printed warranty information whatsoever. I do not even know if they are rebuilt or new. The warranty was a crucial part of my decision to buy BFG brand, as BFG retail products carry a lifetime warranty. I should have read the reviews here before ordering, as returns to Overstock are evidently far more aggravating and costly than most. At least Overstock will never again get any of my trade, nor that of my friends.

the way they handle returns is really horrible. they make you get a return ok then give you a time limit on when you can return it. I returned something THREE months ago and have had to talk to them several times to find out what the holdup is on my refund. Now they're saying the warehouse never got the item and I have to give them a tracking number. Why didn't someone tell me that the first time I called instead of making me wait? What do you want to bet I never get a refund? If that weren't bad enough, at the end of my chat session with the CS Rep, they automatically shoot my browser over to something they want me to buy! And the person above is right - I had to return an item because I ordered the wrong size and it's "impossible" to change the order.

A week later, I still have no response. All that and the email from Overstock assured me that they stand back of their promise to deliver the product within about 3 days. I won't order again.

Overstock is more like a clearing house for different sellers(with things to get rid of), if something goes wrong(likely from my experence with them) you will be dealing through overstock back to the "real" seller of the item, small inexpensive item they handle ok...once you get through...the higher price items seem to take a lonnnnnng time to resolve.

An incredibly badly packed large TV has now been on my doorstep for a week and a half. When it arrived, I immediately emailed Overstock and also called them. I have now spent over three hours on hold and with numerous customer service reps being bounced back and forth between Overstock and UPS as no one wants to take responsibility for repacking the tv so it can be accepted by UPS to be shipped back. At Overstock, even the supervisors (who it takes at least 20 min on hold to reach each time) don't have authority to tell UPS they'll pay for the repacking and pickup. In the meantime, I have an unusable TV blocking my door for a week and a half while the box continues to disintegrate in the fog at night. Maybe someone will steal it. Then what happens? I'd love to write to everyone on the board of directors at Overstock and tell them Customer Service needs to be overhauled, and they need a clearer contract with UPS. This is unbelievable.

I've purchased many items from Overstock.com & while some of them have been very nice, as a general rule, I've found jewelry, books, & movies just as great - even better - for less than half the price on Overstock.com. Plus, shipping time is relatively slow & there is a $4.95 fee for every item you decide to return.
