I finally decided to update to PS E5, and placed an order on June 5, 2007. My bank account was immediately charged, and a few days later I received an email stating the program was on back order but was expected to ship within a couple of days. After a week I began sending emails, and calling. After a month, I've yet to have a response so began checking reviews. I found an email which is suppose to bring a response: albert@softwareoutlet.com, and have written advising I'll be filing a complaint with the BBB. I'll also be contacting my bank to insure I get a refund. I'm only sorry I didn't check them out before they had my account number, and money! |

When I opened the package I found they apparantly mistakenly shipped the wrong software version. The receipt correctly indicated the actual software version I ordered and payed for. Instead I got sent the cheaper version which costs significantly less. For the last three weeks I attempted to reach by phone, e-mail and chat line(which is always closed) with no sucess. All I want is to get is what I ordered and payed for. Out of frustration I just sent the software back. It's been about a week and heard nothing yet. If I hear nothing back in a week I will contact my credit card company and dispute the charges.
Their customer testimonials on their website are a joke based on my experience. Poor customer service is an understatement. It should be rated as no customer service. Stay away from this place.

I wish I had read these other reviews before ordering. The comments on no service and immediate charging for back ordered items are right on the money. |

Never got one response. Took three weeks to get the order and this only after calling my credit card company and asking that the charges be reversed.
A GOOD company would do the following:
1. Only charge the credit card once an order is shipped.
2. Notify the customer immediately if there is a problem with the order or if it is out of stock giving the customer the option of cancelling the order.
3. Respond to inquries (emails).
4. Respond to inquries within 48 hours.
SOFTWAREOUTLET.COM does not do any of these things. If you can live with this go ahead.....you have been informed. |

No initial confirmation e-mail for my order, no answers to 6 contact forms sent from their website afterwards. No answer by a person on the phone (I had to leave my messages on an answering machine), and no callback from them. No answer by their Fax machine... I tried sending faxes 3 times and never got communication to the Fax machine. No answer at their service contact email registered at PayPal. No answer at their administrative Whois contact e-mail. So I don't want to hurt this company but I feel uneasy that this company would be promoted by Epinions reviews. I have finally requested a cancellation of my order and reversal of the credit charge and of course I have had no answer whatsoever from SoftwareOutlet.com. I presently wouldn't recommend this company, their service has not been what I expect and receive otherwise on the Internet. I will follow up here on this experience with them as soon as developments occur. Stay tuned !....

Ordered Corel Draw Graphics 12 and an additional instructional cd online. Received an e-mail INSISTING in ALL CAPS that I didn't supply an accurate shipping address. I immediately responded re-stating my home address, (like I don't know my own address?)! A week later got a second e-mail stating "FINAL NOTICE - order will be cancelled unless you supply correct shipping address!" Wrote back AGAIN requesting to be contacted by a manager. Received an insulting, infantile response from Jessica Fuentes, customer service(?) representative! Called to complain and was verbally abused by the "General Manager". Wrote to the company President and was completely ignored! Bought the Corel Graphics 12 from internet recommended VioSoftware at a LOWER PRICE!! There are just too many other good, discount, internet companies one can patronize to risk doing any business with these folks. |
